About Us

Biofarm is a SEC Registered Corporation with Company Registration Number CS200404871.  Previously, the Corporation is engaged in buying and selling of marine products (i.e. abalone, cuttlefish, giant squid, kidney scallop, bloody clam and nylon shell). However, the ever-dwindling marine resources in Samar due to over-fishing and use of illegal fishing methods the corporation decides to focus on sustainable agriculture by promoting biodiesel production and spearhead  in developing the otherwise marginal, idle, and unproductive lands in Samar.

The corporation intends to develop a 2-hectare biodiesel demo-farm on Jatropha curcas  at Brgy. San Vicente , Catbalogan, Samar.  It has now started developing a small-scale nursery to propagate its first batch of Jatropha mother plants.

Biofarm shall also establish linkages with local people's organization and non-government organizations.  It has now a standing memorandum of agreement with Sandigan Credit Cooperative and its members interested to plant Jatropha, locally known as Tuba-tuba.
